I know this topic has been posted multiple times before but I cant find anything real definitive.  I have a 3 500rd ammo cans, 2 full of 5.56 and 1 full of .45. All loose rounds. What can I put in the cans to keep the ammo in good condition? or do I even need anything?
cans are stored in a closet in the bedroom, so pretty climate controlled

These are what I use.  I love them.  Inexpensive, and keeps your rounds protected and organized.  They also fit in the 50 cal ammo cans!

In addition to the storage solution I would suggest putting in some of those silica gel moisture packs.

Ammo cans are water tight so if the can and ammo is dry when sealed you need nothing else. I have ammo in cans that has been sitting for 30 years and it is fine. The ammo the gov stores in cans has no added drying agents and some of it is found sealed in cans in good shape from ww2.

Thanks, the ammo is dry but I cant afford for it to go bad if it gets a lil humid or something.  The ammo containers are not what I'm looking for, but I will have to get some of the silica gel moisture  packs
