Can't decide whether I want to put it toward 300 Blk reloading components (1000 rds, half 220gr subs and half 125gr supers) or buy a pistol. I really would like a nice .40 and have been looking at maybe an XDM 40 Compact...but I also made the mistake of seeing a Beretta 92 Compact railed Inox on Gunbroker and have a soft spot for 92 compacts. If only I could find a 96 Compact Inox...

Don't get the .40 unless you already have the caliber. Since you reload your own though you could swing it.

I'm partial to the less caliber's, the better.

Reason for the .40 is that I'm sitting on several thousand rounds that were given to me. I have a Glock 23, but it's converted to 9mm and I don't particularly care for the .40 in the compact Glock platform.

Sell the .40 rounds you were given for a good profit as this is the highest the market will get. Turn your $1000 budget into a $1500 budget....profit?

I don't see legislation banning reloading equipment anytime soon...

I could see Primers or powder being "taxed" though...I certainly hope not.

Nice! Now youve got a bigger budget and can widen your choices. :)

1000 rounds + 1 rifle > 1000 rifles + 1 round.

...if only I could find some primers now
