Which of these would you get? RRA LAR, PTR-32 or a Polish AKMS underfolder?

I don't like underfolders and think the PTR is too heavy for the x39....the RRA intrigues me a little.

Why didn't the Sig 556R make your consideration list?

I tried really hard to like the 556R.  Tried high end AKs too.  Love the caliber but couldn't find a rifle I liked.

The Lar looks like a pretty good idea. I would love to shoot one when they are out.

RRA or underfolder

RRA told me they wouldnt even discuss gas port sizes with me until production begins.

It's a nice rifle................shot one that belonged to a friend, but I dont really care for it all that much

Of those, I would say wither the RRA or the PTR. Like a few above said, the under-folders are ergonomically awful.
If the RRA sees the light of day, I think it might be the better choice, just because of the lighter weight.
That said, a well-made HK clone in 7.62x39 that uses AK mags is hard to beat. I desperately want one of those myself.

You should consider the vz-58

After I got my Sig 556R, I got rid of my AK's. Far better accuracy and quality.

Still kinda want one of these...

FORGET the PTR, triggers make AK trigger feel like match grade triggers

I love my CZ VZ-58 BUT it is striker fired and the trigger is like a glock but worse. It is almost impossible for me to shoot standing at 6 inch targets at 100 yards. I can do that with almost any rifle

hate AK underfolders real hurts your jaw after shooting it. A side folder is ALOT more comfortable.

All you have to do is fire a milled Arsenal just once and you will know what a good 7.62 x 39 rifle is...but they are overpriced and for the $$$ you are better off with a SIG.

What didn't you like?

FYI, I've got an AR in 7.62x39. Uses a AR Performance superbolt, Ballistic Advantage barrel and ASC mags. Runs great.

+1...  I've had luck with my CAI and the higher end ones are sweet.

I'm very happy with the VZ58 that I bought earlier this year, and although I don't own a 556R I would strongly consider that as well.

I might go back and revisit the 556R, as well as the VZ...........I have mostly 5.56, but have been thinking of adding this caliber back to my collection for awhile

I have a factory Saiga AK and would rather have a PTR, if they were available here. Just preference rather than a specific advantage. The Euro built SIG rifles are very nice, but I wasn't very keen on the American equivalent to them.
