Swap even an FAL(new build by AZEX, new unissued parts, DSArms receiver, 6 mags, rd count 20) for M1A Scout (extra stock, Ultimak rail, Smith Vortex FH & Smith bolt release, 6 mags, rd count less than 500) ??

Never have shot an FAL so I have nothing to compare it to but given the criteria I'd hop on that scout.

The M1A might be worth a little more but I prefer FALs. Had 3 M1As. Now am down to 1 M1A and 3 FALs (2 Para one fixed)

I like M14 pattern rifles, but, were it me in the scenario, the FAL would stay put. AZEX puts out good rifles, and the Scout's not going to have much, if any, edge over it.

It sounds like a fair trade on both ends- depending on the parts in the M1A, if it has a lot of USGI parts it might be worth a hair more, but not enough to really worry about it either way.
