Not sure what I got here. Its been chopped into a hunting rifle kinda. No markings other then the flower crest. I got a box of 7.7 JAP rounds with it.

K thats what I figured out after some more google. Found a pic of a type 99 from series 32 that looks very close to whats left on this rifle. Is the action any good, is it worth doing anything with? The stock has been sporterized, has aftermarket sights, and its very ruff.

Heck yes !!!

Those Arisakas were the toughest and strongest Mauser inspired actions ever built.
Julian Hatcher tried to find their strength limit and try as he might he couldn't get one to Ka-Boom.

If it were mine I would put it up in a surplus stock and hardware.
