Can anyone help me put a price on this 1953 standard model 70 a friend has? It's in .270 and is in decent shape, has a weaver 4x12 on it.
From what I can find its a $700-$800 rifle in the shape it's in.

I'd say more at right about $800ish. $900 at the most

Thats about right. I used to collect these. The .270s and .30-06s are the most common. Other chamberings can greatly increase the value, especially .338s and the .375.
