Is it just me, or is the Permatex brand threadlocker some runny a$$ stuff?
I'm a fan of other Permatex products, but I just don't remember threadlocker being so runny, and hard to get to stay put. I would have been using Loc-Tite brand, but it seems no one around here carries it anymore. Is the Loc-Tite any more viscous? I seem to remember it being, but it's been a long time since I've even seen it. |

Thanks for the info guys.
I have been using the Permatex blue (medium strength) PX # 24200, for just general threadlocking duties. (anything firearm, or motorcycle/auto related) I guess NAPA is a place I didn't look yet. (speaking of higher end auto stores) The local hardware stores have a poor selection. I thought they used to carry all of the Loc-Tite colors. ETA; Haven't tried the clear nail polish, or the rubber silicone. Some other good alternatives that I'll keep in mind. |
