hey guys, im looking for some info on the HK416.
i did a search and archive search and really couldnt find anything about the rifle, but im looking for some unbiased opinions on it does it really make the perfect AR like HK seems to think? i know its really favored in special forces groups |

AFAIK HK416s were selective fire and never sold to civilians. The HK MR556A1 was the civvy legal version.
I have not owned one, but here is some info by someone who has (pic heavy): http://www.ar15armory.com/forums/lofiversion/index.php?t103790.html |
| Is it the perfect AR? I don't know. Is it an improvement over the standard AR's out there? Perhaps. Like you said, SF uses them. The Marines adopted the M27 IAR (squad version of the HK416) and a number of countries around the world have adopted the HK416. I'd like to get one, but they are expensive. |

I don't know about the rest of the world but neither the 1st S.F.Group nor the 2nd RANGER Bn. at FT. Lewis (JBLM for you newbies) use the 416. Next time I see a E-7 or above from either I will ask if they have any knowledge of the 416 being tested. that would be awsome information |

The m27 is a neat concept, would be neater with a belt. |
