Just ordered 3 30rnd pmags for 33$ delivered |

I've ordered dozens of things from Botech over the years and never had a problem. It is best to call and make sure it is in stock, but that pretty well goes for any place. this This also. I've ordered over a dozen of things from also and never had a problem. I've ordered my Aimpoint M4s, Aimpoint Magnifier, etc. and got them all in a couple days. They may had problems in the past but I'm sure everything is fine now. People keep talking shit about them because they heard someones story or whatever. Botach is good to go |

They have been good to me. A couple orders were for "out of stock" items that took a while, but they kept me informed.
I have yet to have problems that others talk about, it does happen though. I guess they listened to complaints and improved their practices. Sometimes they have great deals also. |

I called last Monday to check if they had any TA-33H acogs in stock. They had 6. I placed my order on Monday night. Tuesday night I received a UPS tracking number and Wednesday morning it was showing on the truck heading to NC. Should be delivered tomorrow. $695 out the door for a brand new ACOG is not bad. BTW this is my second acog from them and I bought over $300 worth of Glock mags when they had them for $11 a piece a few years back. Edit: Call and confirm before you order. BTW I asked the online help about the acogs first and she said they were out. Called and spoke to someone who gave me the real numbers. Not sure now if I trust the online help people anymore. AND IBTM. |

I guess you misunderstood what I meant by shipping practices. Note I didn't say shipping charges. It doesn't matter that the shipping is free when they never tell you that an item is backordered and don't ship your other items when they have no clue when the backordered item will be back in stock. Try reading a little closer next time before you jump up to defend one of the crappiest online vendors.I'm glad you had a smooth transaction with them. As I said, I've had many. In fact, only 2 orders were botched, one ultimately cancelled. |

Sorry you had a bad experience with them. As a California-based company, we are only required to collect sales tax for orders shipped within the State. To give our California-based customers an added value, we will now pay your Sales Tax. ETA: as a side note, nothing is tax free on the internet, the law says you must pay the sales tax to your own state, it's just common practice not to. But not doing so is tax evasion. (Al Capone was taken down for tax evasion.) |

I have ordered from them 7 times over the years and everything that I ordered always shipped within one or two days. Nothing was ever placed on backorder, nothing was ever charged at a different price then what was stated on their site. The last order I placed was on 08/06/11 for the AIMPOINT magnifier deal at $350.00 with free shipping. Email on 08/08/11 with tracking info. California to Iowa in two days.
Any company no matter what they offer can have bad service or mistakes. It's always the problems that get shouted the loudest. I like to hear the problems people have so I know what to look out for but then again this is just the internet and anything can be posted whether it's good or bad. Just my 2 cents |

thanks im just looking for the cheapest. Just trying to help... They may be the cheapest, but then again you may not see it for 6 months or ever. People say they are hit and miss. I have been lucky. I've ordered from them
five times and all have been great experences. If you order online, it's best to call them a day or two later to comfirm your order. There ACOG prices are cheeper than any other place by far. (keep wondering if they really have them in stock) let us know. kz |
|
I always use their online chat, or call them first to verify if something is in stock or not, and have not had any problems that way.
I took a chance a couple of times when I first discovered them, and just ordered, I got lucky. Its best to call them or chat online I have found. |

thanks i might pull the trigger if one in the EE dont come up soon. I've never had a problem with them. Some people have had every problem with them. YMMV Same here. Never had a problem in over eight years of doing business. Like you said: YMMV |

OP, I'm sure you're noticing a trend - use the online chat to see if something is in stock. If so, order and it will ship fast. Otherwise... good luck.
It took 1-1/2 months for me to receive a Troy rear sight. This Friday will be TWO MONTHS waiting for the front sight and other things on that order. Is it worth the $20 savings? Probably not. I keep telling myself "I'm in no hurry, so why not save a few dollars." Oh yeah, they can't tell me when they'll have it in stock. I'll probably try to cancel the order next week. |

Just my 2 cents It doesn’t take a rock scientist to figure out that I don’t think much of Botach. I have my own reasons that I think they are a sleazy bunch and lots of people agree. Before you run out and spend hundreds of dollars with them it’s worth your time to read a thread/post from another gun forum (Calguns). This guy came on strong as a Botach cheerleader and then came back with the facts after he contacted Aimpoint directly. For this, I think he is a helluva stand up guy (the info from Aimpoint did not support his opinion). These cheap Aimpoints that Botach is selling is from a Jordan military purchase and were bought as surplus merchandise by Botach (which explains the high rate of dead batteries). This is just one more in a long line of sleazy business practices by Botach. Here is the thread link if you want to read it: http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/showthread.php?t=463443&page=2&highlight=botach |

Please just stop. We get it, you don't like Botach. Don't order from them, but respect my right to. If I get burned, I get burned, no sweat off of your nuts. [/quote] So please explain to me how this works? Positive opinions are allowed and negative ones are not? The reason for the link to Calguns was to show the spamming that friends of Botach have done over the last month advertising the Aimpoints was actually advertising a bit of fraud. As best I can tell, they do not support the forums that we use daily; instead, in what looks like a coordinated effort, threads pop up across the net advertising their latest special. I think most people with half a brain would be curious about this and potential customers would want to know this bit of info before laying down hundreds of dollars for a used Aimpoint. You are absolutely right about it not being my business who YOU buy from. There are probably a good number of people like you whose only guiding star is the price. For every sale a company like Botach makes, means a stand up online or Brick and mortar store did not get a sale. I don’t have enough time or patience to explain what a shortsighted decision this is to someone who doesn’t “get it”. I’ve never met anyone in business who could compartmentalize well enough to only be sleazy part of the time. For every corrupt business action someone makes, there are probably a dozen that you cannot see. Much more important, is the big picture. Set aside the fact that their poor customer service is setting new standards in not giving a crap. DO A LITTLE RESEARCH. Do a quick search on Yoav Botach (Boteach) and see what you find. Read up on AEY and how the 22 year old that made a 300 million dollar ammo contract apparently started the company when he was 14. Spend a few minutes reading this link http://www.atimes.com/atimes/Middle_East/JF27Ak02.html or a hundred other news links like it. See for yourself how AEY’s business dealing put American troops in danger directly through defective helmets, poor quality ammo and non-shipped items. Further, they sold and partially fulfilled a 300 million dollar contract for Afghan troop’s ammunition (the same ones fighting beside our soldiers) and filled the order with 5 decade old Chinese ammunition. Every level of the family from grandson, to son to brother all seem to be getting caught doing sleazy and in some cases illegal activity. Probably the single most disturbing thing to me is this article from Shmuley Boteach who is the son of Yoav Botach (Boteach), http://www.jewishjournal.com/rabbi_shmuley/item/irans_descent_into_barbarity_20100810/ What I see from the actions of Botach companies and individuals as a whole is a complete disdain for the American shooting crowd and actions by some of the relatives that have put our U.S. soldiers in harm’s way. As the article points out, Yoav Botach (Boteach) came from Iran and as the article puts it, He remains firmly attached to his Iranian heritage. You can look at the ridiculous level of bad press and call it a bunch of coincidences or, like me, you can come to the conclusion that the BEST CASE explanation is that they really don’t care much for their customer’s or what they have to do to make a buck. The WORST CASE explanation makes me shudder. |
