| I have a bcm 16" m4 with the typical magpul bullshit add-ons,but im pretty bored with the rifle to be honest. I bought a sps tactical 223 not too long ago. It has a bushnell 3200 10x,scope base and rings so far. Im torn between another AR build,or buying some stuff for my SPS( b & c stock, magazine system, tacticool bolt handle etc etc). Im picking up a stripped lower Wednesday but I havent ordered any other parts until I get my head out of my ass and figure out what I want to do.If I go ahead with another AR build il probably go with a 14.5" sbr of some sort. What would be the most practical path for me to take? I shoot at 50-100-200 yards right now,and dont reload, yet. Poll on the way. |

Quoted:
Why do you have a bolt action and a semi-auto in .223???
Sell the bolt action and get a varmint upper instead. Uh,because? At the distances I shoot at and the fact that I dont reload,I didnt see the point in going to 308 when factory ammo is expensive as it is. The sps 223 will suit me just fine. |

I don't think he meant to go to a .308, I think he was saying get a 223/556 varmint upper. I don't see the need for a varminter for 200 yards and in,but that's just me. |

Hell, I've had people shoot competitions with 20"-24" varmint uppers/bull barrels with all kinds of different muzzle breaks/flash hiders at CQB distances. |

You're bored with your AR, so your solution is to build...another AR? And a 14.5" barrel is somehow going to be more exciting than a 16" barrel?
Thee are so many different types of rifles out there - bullpups, AKs, lever actions, pistol carbines - why not try something completely different from another AR? Life's too short not to experiment. |

That idea crossed my mind too but I don't have a clue what I would like. |
