| For years, I've used Blue Wonder "under" my steel wool to remove light surface rust from the exterior of my firearms. What are you guys using under your steel wool to remove surface rust? |

WD-40 and 000 steel wool. Keep covered with gun oil.
Now I personally have an unvalidated (no real reason) hatred for blued firearms. I immediately boil, bead blast and parkerize a blued firearm soon after I acquire it. The S&W revolvers are my guiltiest pleasure. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

I've been tempted to try "End-Rust" and "Ox-Pho" on rusty firearms but never bothered because I am a DIY parkerizer. I use those products at work for metal prep before painting in coastal conditions. I've also heard Flitz metal polish keeps rust away. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

TR-3... although its a car wax, it works wonders on light rust. And helps seal against it.
http://bluemagicusa.com/index.php/blue_magic/products/91/tr_3_resin_glaze_polish/ I don't even need to use any steelwool with it... a rag will work on polished/ blued surfaces. |
