What model rifle is this? I believe it is selectable semi auto/pump in .30 remington. I have had no luck in my research.

Standard Arms Co. Model G - available in 25, 30 and, 35 Remington.

Standard Arms Co.(1909-1911) and Standard  arms  Mfg Co (1912-1914). Wilmington DE gas operated and slide action hammerless rifles. Quantity estimated as high as 12,000. An intriguing rifle with eye-appeal and little published information. Handsome, high relief decorated, wide brass grip covers on the front slide, with matching buttplate.  Model G gas operated "Automatic Rifle" was an early attempt to employ gas to operate a piston driven mechanism. Gas tube under barrel almost full length to muzzle has switch at gas port to allow for semiauto use or conventional manual slide action.

There was an artical years back in 'Gun Digest' on the history and engineering behind these. Pretty cool rifles...made in a semi-auto/manual pump...plus a plain manual pump version.

The GD artical would be worth finding if you are interested in any info on the cool old rifle. I'm guessing..but the artical was probably in an early to mid 1980's Gun Digest..or Shooter's Bible(Gun Digest..I think).
