I know Surefire and other companies make the VFG with the lights built in...

I know I am not thet only person out there that doesnt care for the VFG and I prefer the AFG. I would love it if Surefire and Magpul got together and mad an AFG with an intergrated light.

Am I the only one who thinks this would be a cool idea?

Why not mount a light on a side rail?

Or in front of the AFG?

That way you're not stuck with the AFG if you want just a light on your gun, and vise versa.

How about we split the difference and make an AFG 3 that has a rail in the front? It would be perfect for my setup because currently my AFG is so far forward a light on the side rail would have to be mounted behind the AFG.

I think it would be best to waste time, money and thought on something else.

Too many people have to many wants/needs for a tactical light. Plus, tactical lights advance like computers these days in terms of every few months a better, brighter, less expensive light comes to market.

If you run an 11 or 12 inch rail then a Streamlight TLR1 or Surefire equal sits just great in front of the AFG's handstop.  Its my favorite setup and works perfectly.  Very easy to toggle the rocker switch of a TLR1....

I went with this setup on my latest build.. TLR-1 in front of the AFG on a rifle-length rail. Works well and looks good, it flows together almost as well as that surefire unit.
