Gents, I'm finally to the stage where I can think about shooting my new BAR for the first time, but wouldn't you know it that I left the manual back at my parents house (where the rifle was kept while I was deployed)!  I've looked on youtube and google and can't find any disassembly videos for the semi-auto model, while the only literature available is for the full auto model.  Can anybody help me out?  I basically want to break it down to where I can get all of the packing grease out of the action and the bore and then properly lube up the action prior to firing.  Thanks for any help.

I would have your parents send you the manual overnight.

As I stated in your other post, I put mine together from an OOW receiver kit and GI parts kit.

The manual is a must - the GI manuals are not the same - especially with the receiver.

The first few times you tear it apart, you must take things slowly and closely follow the manual.

Basically, you need to remove (in the following order):
- magazine
- trigger housing
- gas cylinder tube and forearm
- recoil spring and guide
- operating slide
- bolt assembly
- firing pin
- extractor and spring

Re-assembly:
- re-assemble the bolt
- assemble the bolt, bolt lock, and A3 link into the receiver
- replace the operating slide assembly
- replace the A3 link pin
- replace the operating handle
- install the recoil spring and guide
- re-assemble the forearm and gas system
- replace the trigger housing assembly
- replace magazine

It should then resemble this ..................
