I've got about a thousand dollars to spend on firearms right now.

I've got all of my "needs" bases covered very well right now (shotgun, pistol, rifle, carbine)

I'm looking at a choice between three different guns.

One being a Century Yugo underfolder. The front sight is canted, and the bolt has a really tight lockup which leads me to suspect that the headspace isn't kosher on it.  $575

The next being a re-blued Mauser C96 pistol with shoulder stock/holster for $800. 9mm bore is very nice, didn't have much time to play with it so I can't tell you if it's been relined or not. Can tell you that it's all matching and has no import marks.

third being an IMI Micro Uzi pistol in 9mm, unfired for $800 as well. I've got a full sized carbine version already so I'd already have magazines for it if I got it.

So what does the Hivemind say?

One being a Century Yugo underfolder. The front sight is canted, and the bolt has a really tight lockup which leads me to suspect that the headspace isn't kosher on it.  $575   I would not even consider a firearm that has issues already, especially for what they are asking.

The next being a re-blued Mauser C96 pistol with shoulder stock/holster for $800. 9mm bore is very nice, didn't have much time to play with it so I can't tell you if it's been relined or not. Can tell you that it's all matching and has no import marks. This would be my choice for a couple of reasons. First is I have always really liked them and second is the price seems to be a nice price as long as it is in good, shootable condition.

third being an IMI Micro Uzi pistol in 9mm, unfired for $800 as well. I've got a full sized carbine version already so I'd already have magazines for it if I got it. The price on this seems to be very nice and would probably be easier to sell and make money off of if you ever needed to.

So what does the Hivemind say?

You need an AK....maybe not the AK you mention above, but you need one.

I say Micro Uzi

Mostly because of already compatable magazines, and as one other person said, resale is always doable without a huge loss

I ended up with the Mauser, the Uzi was a mis labeled .45 with no magazines.. yeah good luck.

I also saw an S&W bowling pin gun that I'm going to go back for tomorrow, pictures will up tomorrow as well.

Got the first delay in my life this morning after a flawless four year run with NCIC. Got a call inside of an hour that I was cleared, picked up another pistol while I was in there and I didn't get delayed for it which is another.

Anyway.. picture

I'm in love with the revolver & mauser. Very nice guns.
