Is this stuff any good?  I know it is steel cased tula, but is it accurate at all or just plinking ammo?

Would it be ok to fire in a HK91 or M1A Socom?

Fine for any action minute of Man (I am sure its decently accurate, no milspec or match) drills.  I got 2k coming so I can run some drills w/ my FAL as opposed to buring though my DAG that is sealed or my sealed case of FN 308

I bought 200 rounds, can't beat $50. Almost half DAG price.

Helluva price given where the market has been on it.

Makes me wish I had my 1919 back

No kidding. If I hadn't just gotten a skid of .308 from AIM, I would have been on this.

Sweet jebus my 1919 would be happy if I had any spare cash!

I've read reports that Tula's importer will not cover damage from a Kaboom, take it for what you will....

Cant' be any worse than Brown Bear, which is fine blasting fodder in my PTR-91...

There really was someone in GD who had his HK go kaBoom while shooting Tula pistol ammo. Last I heard he was unable to get a hold of Tula. Wolf told him if it had been their ammo they would have paid for the damage. Take that for what it's worth.

Exactly, what I was getting at. I'll shoot wolf or any of the bears, but tula is a no go until I hear otherwise.

Can't speak to the Tula stuff, but a friend of mine has shot a ton of Wolf .308 through a Tikka T3 with surprisingly good results. (Yeah, I told him to get better ammo, if he wants to see what it can really do.)

I don't know if is the same stuff or not. Take it for what it's worth.

Personally, I'd shoot better stuff in a good bolt gun, but I'm pretty tempted to get some to shoot through my PTR-91.

out of curiosity,  lets say you use this ammo in a fairly accurate deer rifle, what type of accuracy could one expect ? could i hit grape fruit size objects at 300 yards all day long ?
8/25/2010 4:28:27 PM EDT
[#25]
I would figure more like a basketball at 300 yards...but that is only a guess...waiting for range reports to make sure this batch doesnt go boom!!(in the bad made)

I read the same thread a while back. It was some poor kid's HK-45 or P-30 that he worked his butt off to afford!

I haven't shot the batch I have yet, but I assume it's exactly like the Wolf and Brown bear I've shot which have decent accuracy and good reliabilty. They have a bit lower recoil then standard .308

That stuff is stupid cheap.  I just ordered 1k along with 200rds of .380 and the total came to only $328 with shipping.  Its just like old times with that ammo.  Now, if only it is decently accurate and reliable...
