Update:
Called Remington. They didn't ask any questions. Told me they need to get it back in so they could replace the bolt. For some reason, I have a feeling that they've had this problem before. They're sending out a shipping label to me. Very nice and helpful. |

Have exactly 100 rounds through mine so far, was going to take it to the range this weekend but it looks as if its gonna rain. Dont mind shooting in the rain, but the walk down to the 100 and 200 yard ranges to hang targets will require more of a wade through knee high water than I want to put up with
BTW what sort of ammo have you ran through yours, so far what is the more accurate load? Thanks |

I shot 40 rounds of Rem CoreLokt ammo and 40 rounds of FGMM 168gr.
All the brass looks fine, no marks or problems. The best group was .810" so far. There must have been a burr or small protrusion on that piece that a case got under and worked its way up. When I first bought and cleaned the rifle, there was nothing there. Some cases weren't ejecting during the first 40 rounds and then they were after that. |

Got it back today.
Must not have been as big a problem as I thought it was. The bolt wasn't replaced, the raised portion back was pressed back flush with the rest of the bolt, but it either looks like it has a fracture there now or there is a crease leftover. In the repair sheet, it says they experienced fail to extracts (after fixing the bolt I'm sure). Then something about dirty/rusty chamber.
Ohhh, we'll shoot it some and see what happens.

| Sorry to hear that OP. IMO remington fucked up sending your rifle back after just bending the lip back. I would call and ask to speak with a manager in the service department before sending it back. You might also ask how he is going to make it up to you, all the trouble having to send your rifle back yet again. |

Thanks for posting this, you just made a decision for me. Sounds like maybe you are leaning towards not picking one up, if so they are a nice rifle, well worth the asking price. Remington just dropped the ball in this instance, they are supposed to have a pretty good rep for customer service. |

I agree. Honestly, if I worked there, I would be embarassed to know it went back out the door like that. It's been 9 days and I still haven't received the shipping label. This whole ordeal is really trying my patience. Hang in there, you will get it straightened out. |

Send them an email with a link to this thread. I'd be pissed if any part of my firearm deformed and was simply pressed back into place. I could never have faith in that particular bolt. If they don't make this right for you, I know it will negatively impact any future Remington purchases. I hope this is not the case, as there are several Remington products I'd like to add to my collection.
