| About to place an order, gtg? |
|
They are about 50 miles from my house, and I have bought there many times, spending upwards of $2500. One mistake of note (out of roughly a dozen transactions over the past four years) was when they failed to call and let me know that my receiver had come in a week after it showed up. I was a bit miffed by that, but in the scope of hiccups you can have with a busy dealer that's pretty good. You will note that the Rguns guys are not "bubbly" on the phone ––- it's a flat, matter-of-fact "yes... no... bye" conversation, so if you're used to perky retail phone interchange you'll be disappointed.
Finally, remember this is Illinois, and honest dealers and manufacturers here are suspicious as hell that they are being shaken down by some Jesse Jackson/Dickey Dailey racket (Rguns is within about 20 minutes of Cook County). Be sure all your stuff is in one sock as required. |
| I bought an AR lower from them last year, the staff was rather rude and unhelpful. When I got to the store it was empty and I waited 10 minutes before someone came out to help me. When I checked my phone to see what the date and time was another employee yelled at me. Go to gat guns its just around the corner, better selection and better staff. |
| My experiences with them mirror what others have said, I got what I ordered, but their customer service sucks. They are real pricks over the phone. Not sure if they are drinking too much of their own kool-aid, but they can kiss my ass and I'll never order from them again...They need to take a lesson from Bryan at Aim or the Folks at Rat Worx, or even Bud's....too many outfits out there now to be rude to the end consumer |
| I was hosed on some "excellent, like new" GI M1 carbine mags several years ago, what I got was rusted, beat to crap mags that were barely even fair condition. It was a hassle getting OK for return and refund. Swore I'd never do business again and have not. YMMV |

Never ordered from them but good to know this info. If they can't be nice on the phone fuck 'em. I called Ratworx once, was asking about the STGs, just getting info and the guy knew I wasn't calling to order something and he was super nice and super helpful on the phone.
Seriously, if a business can't be courteous over the phone then fuck all y'all. |
