I am picking up a like new Browning Gold (12 Gauge) tonight. A lady at work wanted to sell and wants $400 for it.
What do these guns generally go for? I know Im getting a good deal but the few I found on gunbroker were going for between $650 and $1000. Is that accurate?

If it is a Gold Hunter in good shape that is a real good deal. I have one in 20 gauge and I really like it. I paid $450 for mine and it still had the sticker on the end of the barrel.

Yeah its the Hunter. Just got it. Even at $450 thats a killer deal.
What i was wondering is do they really (generally speaking) go for closer to $700?

Yeah roughly 6-700 from what I've seen. My 20 gauge is the only Browning product I have ever had worth a shit. I bought it figuring if it didn't work, or I didn't like it, I would not lose any money. It has worked flawlessly with every type of ammo and has become my choice for clay pigeons, doves and pheasants. I hope your works just as well.

Well I dont plan on shooting it, I am pretty sure its going to go to my father, who needs a nice shotgun. So far it seems like a great gun.
