Now i know many of our beloved rifles are imported to us with a pinned muzzle break due to having a barrel just under 16 inches.
Most of them are plug welded and can be taken off by a gun smith to put and re weld a preferred attachment.
Now i was wondering if someone out there is or has though or can make a threaded barrel extention so that
can be welded on and we get to keep  our goodies to attach when we want and get to have a choice. I'm interested in
one for a vz58 It would just be nice to have threads back. It seems like there's a good market for people that want them to.

Anyone done this or is able to?

Check out TROS Send them an e-mail of what ya want done, and they will help ya out. They have done several custom adapters for me to use suppressors.

Edit: actually there doesn't seem to be much barrel material to work with on the VZ58 rifle. I'm don't think you can just weld something on and have it straight enough to use a suppressor. It really needs to be threaded on. I guess you could just weld a flash hider on it maybe, but not sure who would give that a shot.

The threads are M14x1 Right hand turn on the vz58 it has threads it just has a barrel extension plug welded on that can be removed by a gunsmith to reveal original threads, it turn if you make a M14x1 Right hand turn threaded barrel extension on one side to make up the half an inch to be 16 inches. And then thread the other side for accessories like brakes and hiders. The barrel is 15.4 inches long without any extention so i need to make up that extra .8 inches.
