If you are a fan of the NEF Handi-Rifle or any of the H&R1871 rifles post them up.
I have two.
NEF Sportster 17HMR. Scope is the Bushnell Elite 3200 10x in Warne mounts.

H&R 1871 Buffalo Classic in 45/70. Scope is an old school steel tubed Weaver K4 made in El Paso.

Mine. .17 MkII NEF Sportster, Barrel at 17.5" w/ burris 2.5x scout scope.

I never shoot it though.

223 Rem heavy barrel cut down to 18" and recrowned.
Burris 3x9x40.
Factory trigger job.

not a good pic, but this is my formerly 223 and now a 357 Handi:

Makes me want to take it out this week. Has been awhile.

What kind of accuracy do you guys get out of your handi-rifles? How is their durability? I have a friend who is looking for a cheap rifle and these might be the ticket.

I did the work.

Took the old base and recontoured the bottom and drilled and tapped 3 new holes for it.

Cut the barrel down and recrowned it.
