O.K. guys, need a little help.  I've got alot of great guns that I take great care of and treat very seriously.  However, I now have a few bucks put aside for something fun.  A gun that has no tactical or practical purpose at all.  Just something to have fun with and to get some silly dialog going at the range.  I've got it narrowed down to the GSG5 PK and the Masterpiece Arms 9mm Assault Rifle Carbine.

So, lets here from some of you that have experience with either of these or might posibly even have some other ideas.  Remember, nothing practical!

Thanks all!

The GSG-5 would cost less to shoot. I have more fun if  I know I'm not burning up tons of  $$.

the gsg is fun for about $200 more a ppsh42 clone can be had for $300 more a thompson clone can be had all are fun sub guns in semi

the gsg is great I just wish it was more solidly built- the butt is plastic -fine- it should be a stronger plastic with a better mount to the reciver.

other than that the Gsg is far superior to the colt 22lr m4 clone and as much fun as a 10-22 if not more

From your list, I'd say go with the GSG5. Love them. They are fun little plinkers.

I have an  MPA 9mm carbine.  It is a very fun gun, and I was able to stick leftover AR parts that were laying around the bottom of the safe on it.  Prior to this, I had a Berretta Storm.  While it was accurate, hi cap mags were more expensive and harder to find the Sten mags.  Also the empty brass started to dig into the plastic around the ejection port and it started to jam very frequently.

I would much rather have the MPA.  Sure its ugly and people make fun of it, but it's reliable and reasonably accurate.

If I were to get a .22 , I'd just build up a 10/22 with a laminate stock and nice barrel.  Fun to tinker with, tons of parts available, and surprisingly accurate with the right mods.
