A while back I had a Stevens rifle chambered in 7.62x25 Tokarev. It has worked out really well, so well in fact that I am using the same barrel to build an AR chambered in the Tokarev round. It will be a gas setup rather than blowback and I will be using an adjustable gas block to tune it. In the Stevens the 180 grain subsonic loads were shooting well under MOA.
Because I will have an action without a barrel I have decided to use it for another project I have thought about for a while. This one will be in 45 ACP. Because the rim diameter is .480 for the ACP I can use the .473 from a 308 Win bolt head I have. I am going to be making a modern DeLisle carbine in 45ACP except I probably will not suppress it, at least not initially. I will update as it progesses but it will probably be a few months before we get started. Dolomite |

Do keep us posted. That sounds quite interesting. However, I don't think I'll be the last to insist that you tell us more about that Tokarev-chambered Stevens. So, go on... Original posting of build Tokarev build update Dolomite |
