Any KG-99 owners out there? I bought one (Interdynamics KG-99 closed bolt) a very very long time ago and have not shot it in many many years. I remember having problems with it originally and lo and behold things haven't changed. Took it out last week and had failures to feed about every two rounds. Bolt was closing on and bending every other cartridge. Tried different 9 mm ammo and two different factory mags to no avail . Anyone else experience similar problems and has anyone found a cure (besides selling it)? I'm suspecting it may be the magazine feed lips but have not begun to experiment with reworking them yet. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Just in case anyone is interested.........and from the responses that I recieved (0) I'd guess not .......I discovered what the problem was. The failures to feed stemmed from failures to eject properly. The extractor (although extracting okay) was not holding the rounds tight enough to get a good ejection. This in turn was causing failures to feed properly. I reworked the extractor with some hand files and now everthing functions as it should have originally.

I've owned a few ( Tec-9 and a couple AB-10's). The only problems I've had were with cheap mags and one had a loose extractor. The extractor was an easy fix with an allen wrench and I started modifying Suomi SMG mags for mine. Never had any issues other than that.

I'm about 1/2 way through designing a carbine conversion kit for the Tec-9 series. Got the butt stock worked out but the barrel mod is tough to overcome. There are at least 3 different barrel mounting versions and all are designed to be permanent.

I had a KG-99 way back in about '85. It was a jam-o-matic in a big way. They are apparently quite rare compared to the later Intertech Tech-9 version.

Reshaping the extractor so it actually contours to the base of the cartridge works wonders. This thing used to be a jam-o-matic but now functions flawlessly.....at least with FMJ ammunition. Anyone know if there's a stock available for this weapon? I wouldn't mind going the SBR route if there is.
