I had a Mini-14 stainless steel barreled action cryo'ed, and I'm very happy with the results

1.5.––2 MOA out of a pencil bbl Mini, all day long ain't too bad.  I should add that I bedded the action into a good synthetic stock after I saw the results of the Cryo, so that number above is the final sum of all my tweaks.  I should also add that the above is attained using good quality generic handloads, not match rounds specifically designed for the Mini.  I use the same rounds in all my 5.56 firearms, hence the term generic, as the rounds are designed to be the equivalent of mil-spec rounds.
I'd say the bedding into the stock gave a good stable platform, and the cryo greatly reduced the tendency of the thin barrel to displace shots due to heat-induced stresses in the bbl, which cryo is supposed to greatly minimize.

The claimed added life of the barrel, due to molecular changes in the steel is a plus, if it works out.

I think for a thin-barreled semi-auto like the older Minis, it's a no-brainer, as long as the barrel, and especially the muzzle, is in good shape.  A good many aren't.  Check yours no matter what.  Your Mini's lack of accuracy might be cured by nothing more than a little, cheap re-crown job.

For a hunting rifle bolt-action, maybe not so much, as it will seldom have its' mag emptied, and thus will have little heat-induced stress.

If you have a suitable candidate that is a collectible, a C+R, or a firearm that ought not be intrusively modified, Cryo might be a consideration, as it leaves no trace of being done.  Obviously, dealing with a cryo vendor of long-standing good rep is a primary consideration, so do your research first.

Regardless, your barrel should be in final, end-state condition before cryo.  No drilling, muzzle crowning, or any other removal of metal should happen after cryo, lest such actions induce stress in the barrel.  And take out every single spring, as cryo reportedly ruins them.

Friend of mine sent his PTR91 Squad carbine to 300below. Had the barreled receiver done, as well as the bolt carrier group. Cost wise I believe was around $120.00 or so.

We did it at Barrett for some time. We found it helped marginal barrels acheive somewhat better accuracy. It does not help good barrels become even better.
Will not help crappy barrels become better either.
