So a friend of mine just picked up a mac11 and since he is ignorant in the ways of firearms he has asked me to find him some mags. So what say you arfcom, Where can one get a good mac11 mag?

If its a original SWD mac try http://www.usmachinegun.com  Kind of expensive but some of the best  out there. They have steel and the original zytles.

Depends on the model, caliber, and maker.

Older Macs use the zytel mags, newer Masterpiece Arms ones use Sten or Greasegun mags.

Older MACs can use steel mags from Recon Ordnance. They are Argentinian PAM2 submachinegun mags that need a little modification (very little) and they work GREAT. I run them in my MAX-11 and they are way more reliable than the Zytel mags and drop free when released.
