Here is a little something I put together for those special moments.  Something that will come in handy in case the "Zombie Hords" are ever unleashed.

Kit Contents:
11" XCR in 5.56
Half a dozen mags
TLR-1 white LED light
37mm HAVOC launcher registered as a DD and bored out to 40mm
40mm Beehive Round
37mm explosive chalk round
37mm Flaschette round

Cool set-up! Do the 37mm rounds still work in a 40mm tube? Just curious as I know NOTHING very little about DD's.

rokasons: Yes all of the 37mm rounds will work in a 40mm tube provided it is well made.  The HAVOC is pretty robust from the beginning and milled from solid billet.  The ID before I had it bored was 38.2mm so I didn't have much to take away.

how is the availability of 40mm shells? I have been considering getting one when I have a little more cash, but I don't want a really cool looking useless chunk of metal hanging off my gun.  Is it even possible to get frag rounds? or flash bangs?

Cool display, but doesn't seem very practical (that big, heavy pelican case anyway)

No BUIS ?

Nice setup....................but I will stick with my AK-47 for a bug out gun.

chris_1522:  I find Pelical or any other hard case much more practical (regardless of the weight) than any of the soft cases (I have 5 or 6 soft cases) as you can bang it around and never worry if you have injured the contents.  Plus I would need multiple soft cases to carry all of the stuff that I have in some of my Pelican cases.

mk_ultra:  I just took the BUIS off a few rifles (all SBR's or PDW's) that I use for CQB, range work, or 3-gun matches.  I have NEVER had any of my optics crap out and even if they did you can still use them as giant ghost ring sights.  I can't remember the last time I used a BUIS and even my pistols have mini red-dots on them.

The next change is to swap out the upper for a 9" in 6.8 SPC.

It works for me,

Nice looking set up and excellent pics.

I love Pelican cases.  They are well worth the money.

Well freaking done. That is awesome. Looks like a light set up. Just throw on some MBUS for those "Just in Case" moments

Nice setup.

I"d put the BUIS back on.  You haven't canceled your auto or home owners insurance, have you?

Nice kit but if it were me, I'd have the launcher and light already attached. I don't think I'd be keeping the rifle in a case either as I'd want everything ready to go as soon as the first zombie comes knocking at my front door.
