45-70 shot shell, anyone make or know how to make this.

Shouldnt be hard to load some up. Maybe use a small fiber wad on top of the powder, get some of the .45ACP shot capsules....Hmm I might try this now that you mention it.

Lemme know how this works out. I'd really like to have a small shotgun to take care of the evilest of rodents, squirrels.

Is it a single shot or lever? I've heard you can shoot .410 out of a 45-70,mind the shell can get stuck but it'll work.....now that I think of it it's something I have to try

Interesting question. Apparently their used to be a forager shot shell load for the 45/70 for taking small game.

Apparently a 2 1/2 410 shell will fire in a 45/70 chamber. There are also some people who load their own.
