I have an old DPMS .22 conversion kit for my AR and I have been wanting to get another magazine but I can't find them listed anywhere. I was told it is simply a copy of the old colt design.
So, does anyone here know where I can find a magazine or if what others might be compatible?
Thanks!

I have two DPMS dedicated uppers that use the same designed bolt as the conversion kit you have.   The only difference is the dedicated uppers slide over the chamber end of the barrel and don't have the chamber adapter which looks like a 22 case on the end of your conversion.  The DPMS is basically a copy of the Colt 22 conversion kit.   There is one slight difference in that the Colt magazine has a small plastic tab on the top which goes into a corresponding slot on the bottom of the conversion kit.  I know because I have a Colt conversion kit also.  The Colt conversion kit will use the DPMS mag but the DPMS conversion or dedicated uppers won't use a Colt mag unless you grind off the tab.

Black Dog Machine is supposed to be releasing a high capacity mag which will work with the Colt and DPMS conversion kit or dedicated uppers.  BDM's last post indicated the release date would be shortly after the first of the year in 2009.  There is a thread in the rimfire/pistol section of AR 15.com asking when BDM is going to release the new mag.  There are a lot of the Colt kits and DPMS dedicated uppers on the market.  The problem is magazines.  DPMS nor Colt are currently selling magazines for 22 lr kits or dedicated uppers.  I've been waiting for close  two years for BDM to get these mags to market.  BDM is very busy and I can understand the problem with producing this mag because the ejector is included in the mag (metal protrusion on top of where cartridges are loaded).

BDM makes high capacity mags which will fit the Ciener/Spikes/CMMG kit plus a 10 round and a new 15 round mag that looks like a curved 20 round AR mag.  I have 9 DPMS 10 round mags and if you want to sell your DPMS and buy a different conversion kit I might be interested.  DPMS didn't seem to make as many conversion kits as they did dedicated uppers and I thought since I had two dedicated uppers it might be neat to have the conversion kit to.  BDM also makes high capacity mags for the CZ V-22 dedicated upper along with mags for the M-261/Olympic RFA/Bushmaster style kits and uppers.  Dan Auth at Conversion Caliber Supply is producing replacement firing pins, extractors and springs for the DPMS and Colt kits.  Hopefully BDM will get his mags on the market before spring.
