I have a bunch of mags that are back ups and will not be used for decades. How should they be stored to best protect them? Thanks!

They should be fine in their original packaging. I would put them all in some kind of large (covered) storage bin.

Then stick some desiccant in the storage bin with the magazines. That should keep them safe from corrosion and humidity.

Basically, I say that you should take the same precautions that you would to store ammunition for long term.

Just stick'em in a box and put'em away.

Invest in some dessicant, as previously suggested.

It inhibits moisture, which helps eliminate rust.

However you pack them...Tins, plastic, etc. Pack them with dessicant.

You can even purchase gun socks with moisture-eliminating material. I would do that over plastic if it were me.

I'l try the dessicant idea. Would steel ammo cans be a good idea? If so where could I buy some.....I never see them around locally?
