A gopher has set up shop in my back yard. Twice now he's popped up out of his hole long enough to get off a shot at him with my .177 air rifle.

Damn thing is smart though. He hears the shot and ducks back into the hole before the subsonic pellet gets there.

Don't you know the only proper way for dealing with gophers is little gopher shaped C-4 care packages?????

growing up we had these little suckers in our yard. my father not believing in guns devised a vastly superior way to rid the yard.

1. grab any old household  lamp that you hate
2. rip the power cord out of lamp.
3. peal apart the extension cord so you have two ends that are about three inches apart.
4. strip each end of the cord so there is about a two inch open copper line.
5. place the open end of the power cord in the middle of the holes opening.
6. plug in
7. have a beer

my father used this on mice, rates, gophers etc....

mmmmm the smell of fried gopher in the morning...
