What do they cost new?

I've got a friend selling one for $350, should I buy her? She a Stainless .44 mag, 9in barrel

Anyone own one? Thoughts?

They are a very good Revolver one of the strongest, they have poor resale value but that is a steal.
Figure on cutting the barrel to a more friendly length at some point, or you will tire of it.

That is a screaming deal, I'd jump on it in a heart beat.

I'll have her next week. I've wanted a .44 for a while now, but never had the money, but I can't afford not to buy this one!

I bought a used Redhawk for about the same price and think it was a fantastic deal. I'd snap that up.

New, I think that Super Redhawk would be about $650.

Do you use irons, or do you scope it? How far have you shot with it?

Thats a great price!

Scoped at a 100 yards they are very impressive!

Open sights they are damn good to!

9 inches might be a little long...  mine is 7 1/2.

I'm pretty much just going to use it for target stuff, so 9 won't be bad.

Irons.  It is my most accurate handgun, at least for the first few shots (my handloads are brutal).  I can routinely hit metal gongs at 100 yards.  I shot a big buck with it a few years ago, but that was a pretty close shot.

With the Ruger, you can handload using 300 grain bullets quite a bit hotter than you could with a S&W.
