What ya need to do is take a wrench and unscrew your flash hider first. It shouldn't be welded since it is a 16" barrel. If it is a 14.5" barrel then the flash hider would be welded on to meet the legal requirments. Then you need a hammer and punch to knock out those pins to remove the front sight base. Also if you want to keep your existing gas tube then you have to use a small punch and hammer to knock out the roll pin in the gas block and then take some vise grips to pull out the gas tube. Then put the gas tube in your new gas block with folding sight and install the roll pin. And then install the gas block. And finally put the flash hider back on. Also if you have regular handguards you should take them off before doing this work. If it is a free float tube then you can leave them be. Also check out this link |
