For the cost of a case of Prvi M193...

I think it's sexy as hell.

Not my first Buckmark, but this one just kind of jumped off the shelf at me.

nice...I love my ruger MKII bull barrel, bought it for $230 used when I was in NY to validate my pistol permit.....point being, bull barreled .22s are fun!  I shoot it at the range when I need to relax in between shooting the "real" guns.

Also, it's sad that one can compare the cost of an entirely new gun to that of a case of 5.56 these days

Nice looking Buckmark . I thought I loved my Ruger until I picked
up a used target model . I found that not only could I shoot it well
but that I can also shoot it well , very quickly

Thank you all!

I took it out yesterday and bagged it from 25 yards with a variety of ammunition.

CCI Velcitor with Gold Dots = About 2.5" inches
Winchester Wildcats = About 4" inches
CCI Blazer = About 3" inches
Federal Value Paks = About 3.5" inches

Without any adjustments to the sights I was on the paper at 25 yards, Shooting slightly high and right with all ammuntion tested.

I had a few hiccups with the Wildcats where the spent case was not clear of the ejection port before the slide was trying to go back into battery, resulting in smokestacks where the case mouth was smashed by the breechface into the face of the barrel.  Other than that, it ran like a champ.

I need to buy some standard velocity CCIs, some Green Tag, some Tenex, and Federal match to see what it is truly capabale of doing.  I was pleasantly surprised with the Velocitors...and they are snappy.

What ammo does your Buckmark like?

Very nice!  I need to add a Browning to my Ruger collection....  just because I can!

I've only had one chance to go shoot it so far.

I just picked up a box of 550 Remington Hollow Points from wally world.

This box here:

(not my picture)

I shot all but about 25 or so in about 1 hour.

I'd say I had about 15 or so stove pipes. No failure to fire's.

From what I understand this ammo is not known to be the best stuff out there, but all i was trying to do was see how well the gun worked.

After about 525 shots, the gun fouled up and needed to be cleaned (the firing pin was unable to reach the case to fire it).

When I have time I'll pick up a few different brands and see which one works the best for me.

Bass Pro has the basic Camper 5.5" on sale for $269.  It's essentially this same gun without the finger grips, has rubber grip panels, and a blade front sight.  Not as pretty, but for the money...

This one is the Ultragrip DX Pro Target TruGlo Marble 5.5" Camper.

Got mine from Cabela's for about that much.

Looks like this one:

Here is my thread I started last week asking about mags for this gun

Did CTD have factory mags for that price?  I usually see them MUCH higher than that.

I picked up two at $20 per when I bought the pistol.  They were used and came in as "extras" on trade....so "free" money to the dealer.

My last Buckmark didn't like it when the feed ramp got gooey with bullet lube.  I would guess that's when yours started to choke, too.

The mags are $29.95 at Cabela's (which is why I started the thread).

I have yet to go over to CTD to look, but I will sometime this week.

(I sure do like those wooden grips you have!!)

Link shows $27.99 today. Not sure what that would be with my 03 FFL discount.  I've never bought from Midway.  Prices always seemed a little rich and Larry kinda gets on my nerves a little.
