[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Lever guns

After seeing the lever pic thread I really want a lever gun. I would really like a carbine with a 16 or 18in. barrel in a pistol caliber. My only choices are Marlin 1894C and the Puma Carbine. Any info and suggestions will be appreciated.

Marlin
built like a tank
solid top=easy to scope/ghost ring
if you cut off ~6" of the magazine spring, it's easier to load, still perfectly reliable, and holds 10 instead of 9 rounds of 357

This is what am really looking for. I would like to make a tacticool lever gun with ghost rings and a pistol grip style stock.

If you want the best, scour the used gun classifieds for a Browning B-92. A modern, Japanese made clone of the Winchester 92. Most are in 44 Magnum, but a few were made in .357.
