Ok I've got a friend who wants to buy an AR 10 type rifle "NOW", short of a Knights Armament "which has a 2-3 year wait" what is the best made 308 cal platform out there?

| My DPMS has been 100% reliable which is more than I can say for the Armalite 10T I had, although at that time the modified M-14 mags were the only ones available. The DPMS mags are readily available and are being used by nearly every other manufacturer of 308 AR's. |

www.44mag.com/prodinfo.asp?number=DPMA3082 I've gotten a few for $30 even on sale (MidwayUSA, IIRC), but the link above is the best routine/every-day price I am aware of (I'll be glad to be corrected on that, BTW  ).

I paid $29 each shipped for my DPMS Mags and $50 ea for my used Knights mags. My rifle will put 10 rounds into an inch at 100 yards, but it has a lightweight 20" JP barrel. |
