No it does not. It is a myth. If your gun won't run on Wolf there is something wrong with it. Wolf is dirty though.

+1 what he said.. oh yeah, and it smells funky.. If you shoot it at an indoor range you will need to blow your nose, and blow all the black shit out of it when your done

while we're on the subject how about silver bear ammo , it's real cheap
FMJ, 55gr bullet, made in Russia, steel case with zinc nickel coating, non corrosive.

Blech. Stick to the newer, grey coated (ie- Polymer coated) Wolf 55 or 62 grn FMJ.

WARNING: DO NOT USE ON STEEL TARGETS!!!!!!!  Wolf recently went back to using steel jackets that are "copper washed" so they still look like copper. These will f-up the steel targets at your next 3 gun.

Wolf .223 shoots cleaner than Lake City XM855PD. After shooting 100 rd of XM855PD, my nose and eyes were BURNING from the ammonia. Wolf wasn't bad at all, but I do not recommend switching back and forth between Wolf and a .22LR kit at the range without cleaning first.

Wolf isn't the best ammo in the world but it won't fuck up your rifle either.

Wolf works for me every time, it's cheap, after that said it does'nd work in my contender! I think the prob. is that a .556 nato is not a .223 in chamber size!
I shoot good stuff througt the contender and wolf through the rifles for fun!
