What is the best long-term gun storage solution for preventing rust, corrosion, etc. (e.g. Z-Corr, Bore-Stores, etc)?

What do YOU use?

Boeshield T-9® is a solvent and paraffin wax formula developed by Boeing Aviation for long term metal protection.  It penetrates into metal pores, displaces moisture and dries to a thin waxy film.

Those storage bags look interesting.  Is there anything special about how to use them?  The description seems to make a point of noting that "instructions" are included . . . .

I bought a bunch of VCI paper off of ebay, and some super thick 55 gallon drum liner plastic bags, although the poly gun bags would probably be a better way to go.

I know this may sound crazy, but the "old folks" would slather a gun down with vasilene. I've seen it done, and I'll be damned if it don't work, but it is a mess to get off when your ready to use the firearm.

Remove optics, electronics and wood stocks if attached.

But a big plastic storage bin from Lowes or Home Depot.

Put guns in storage bin.

But 5 gallon containers of motor oil.

Fill storage bin with oil until guns are govered.

Never worry about corrosion.
