Just bought a DPMS Panther Flash Hider. But I need to know if a peel/crush washer needs to be installed first. There was nothing on their website that says anything about this.

Yes since it has holes and slots that needs to be on top.

ETA: oops, that was the compensator.  The flash hider still needs one if you want the slots to be aligned in a certain way.

Thanks LonghornAR...My boy who is on leave from Fort Leonard Wood and I are going to shoot AR's tomorrow. He likes the new one I just put together and I wanted to add this Flash Hider to it. And thanks for helping out a brother-in-arms even if I am from the Socialist Republic of Ill-noise. And by the way I'm a fan of your great state and  have a sister who moved to the San Angelo area. We visit her and her Texas hubbie every couple years or so. Thanks again!
