Its a great gun, but at the range today it let me down.
I took it out of the case, jacked the action open and when I tried to close it, it jammed about 3/4 closed. It wouldn't close any farther, so I tried opening it. It opened and from then on everything seemed normal...
I proceeded to load it, chambered a shell, pulled the trigger and all I got was a click.

So I cleared it and found that the firing pin is missing about a 1/16".
Does anyone know of somewhere to buy a firing pin and its retaining pin?
I've tried searching for parts but no one seems to stock them.
TIA

Try Turaus thay now own Rossi,or try gunparts.com I did not see any parts listed for the Rossi 92 but some of their other models, more than likely use the same firing pin

I have seen 3 of these rifles with broken fireing pins. I hear it is very common , that and sloppy chambers. I had mine rebarreled and a new fireing pin installed. I haven't  had any trouble since , except the cougar fell off. I like the gun, It makes a great pack rifle.
