? They are good guns, very solid, reliable, and accurate considering the size.

I have a SOCOM 16, which I love to death. I handled the SOCOM II, but the rails really ruined the balance and handling characteristics of the rifle.

The lower rails just unclip if you don't want them.

I have only personally met 1 person that owned a SOCOM that did not like it. He did not like it because of the ghost ring rear site and sold it for a AR10. I have a couple of friends that have them and love them. I personally have a scout, and it is awesome. All together, great guns.....
