Where can I learn more and who here has owned one? Thanks in advance...

I own one. I really like it. I've been trying to find out who can convert it to use Glock magazines but no luck so far. It was a common conversion at one time, but nobody seems interested in doing it anymore.

I owned one for a few years.

Things I liked about it:

- legendary Ruger durability
- easy to mount a scope
- accurate enough
- compact for what it was

Things I didn't care for:

- heavy for what it was
- heavy trigger
- rear sight sucked, would've loved to have a receiver-mounted peep
- no sling swivels from factory

At least I got my money back out of it.

I got a screamin' deal on one (PC9) a few years back. Only put a few hundred rounds through it so far. It's fun and accurate. I love shooting +P and +P+ out of it. The trigger wasn't too good out of the box, so I pulled the trigger group apart and smoothed it out quite a bit. No more complaints about the trigger. Sometimes the bolt locks back on the second to last round. I'm sure thats fixable also.  It's built super stout. If you can't find or afford or an Uzi, HK94, or Colt, it's probably your best option. I've heard good things about the Beretta offering but it's a little odd looking. If it works, it works.

I have one. It is reliable but I have not shot it for accuracy yet. It is heavy for a 9mm carbine. Don't get the ghost ring model if you intend to scope it or you will have clearance problems.

I had one. It was ok but too heavy for a 9 mm carbine. I sold it and got a M1 Carbine. For my purposes (home defense) the M1 is better. It is lighter.... the 30 caliber round has more punch and it will increase in value. If you just want to blast 9mm ammo then get a Hi Point carbine. The Ruger PC 9 is a good gun though. I doubt you can break it....

I like my .40cal version.
I believe Ruger stopped making them though

there is a good write up in the last Shotgun News by Dave Fortier on the ruger PC carbines.  ijust got my newest issue today, so they may be off the newsstands in a day or so if you want to try and find the article.
