Does anyone have links for manufacturers of new mauser actions? I am looking to pick up a Mauser 98 action to customize. I would prefer to get a new one since I am lookup to make it a magnum caliber. -C4- |

you need to be more specific. do you want a nice surplus mauser '98? do you want a commercial mauser '98? do you want a magnum mauser? Brownells sells CZ 550 actions....which are slightly updated '98 mauser actions. there is a place in the US (can't remember the name, but google should) that makes brand new '98 mauser square bridge magnum actions. the best place to get a surplus '98 mauser action to build is at a local gun show. buy a previously sporterized rifle. usually go for around $250+/-. the other plus to doing it this way is all the parts will be there. Numrich had a bunch of actions/ barreled actions available. IIRC these are from the importer before Remington tied up with Zastava in Serbia. advntrjnky |
