A friend offered me 1100 rounds of Radway Green 5.56 in trade for a spare stripped lower I have. Lower consists of Mega receiver, DPMS lpk, and bushy M4 stock.
This seem like a good or great deal????

Seems like a horrible deal to me, but I'm a reloader...and I honestly have no idea what radway green is.
Regardless, I think a lower is like a gold brick compared to rocks in this trade. When you fire that last round, I'd be asking: "Was it worth it?"

how much could you buy that much ammo for? how much do you have in the lower?
You decide.

Anyone else have an opinion on this deal? I have about $200 invested in the lower. As ammo prices rise, ang RG becomes more scarce im thinking it may be a decent trade, just wanted a few thoughts before i did it.
lower for 1100 rnds of RG 5.56?

I'd probably go through with the trade. You'll be saving money, not a whole lot, but any saved is good.

consider how much ammo you have now, and how much ammo you go through in a month/week. do you have any plans for the lower or is it just laying around. just food for thought.

I would rather have a rifle with no ammo, then ammo with no rifle. Either way you're up a creek. That just how I look at it if I had to make a decision of whether to give up one of my rifles (or parts there of) for ammo.
