I'm looking for a lever action to pair up with my Ruger Security Six or S&W Model 10. Does anyone have one of these that they would like to give feedback ? If not the Marlin, another model in .38/.357.

Some people here don't like marlins, but the marlin 1894 in 357 is a great gun.  I want to get one myself.  fun plinkers that pack a punch and they work.  My marlins have never failed me (except in target shooting over 300 yards )

I have an 1894C - it's a hoot to shoot.  I still haven't worked up a .357 hand load, just standard .38 Special and .38 +P.  I've shot a bunch of factory ammo through the rifle.

I've shot 125 and 158 grain handloads, and 130 grain ball in mine.  My recollection is that the 125's strike the target about 8 or 9 inches higher than 159's at 100 yards.

The real interesting part is the wind deflection - the 158's have significantly less deflection at 100 yards.  Maybe this year I'll get around to chronographing my handloads.

I want a .44 Magnum and a .41 Magnum version.

Rossi makes a nice Winchester 92 replica in .357, and other pistol cartridges.

These are currently imported by LSI, EMF, and Navy Arms. I own a Marlin and an EMF/Rossi.

The 357 Mag in a rifle is very potent, there are some great articles online about them.

If I were going to shoot strictly iron sights, I'd go with the Rossi 92, specifically an EMF.

If I were going to add optics, the Marlin is the way to go.
