A buddy of mine was just given several guns by a friend whose dad died and was scared of them. Among the guns are a FN 1922 7.65 (.32 ACP) with Nazi proofs, a Walther Model 4 (that someone has hard chromed, it'll make you cry) and a mint S&W 36 (no dash number) square butt w/ box and original papers/tools. There are a couple of old top break revolvers (H&A and H&R) in poorer shape that have minimal value. He is looking to possibly sell them and buy an AR or help restore his Datsun Z (240?).

I am very familiar to firearms and I know the book values of the items and what a local shop is likely to give for them. However, I have never bought/sold any firearms over the internet (gunbroker.com, auctionarms.com, EE, etc). Is it worth the hassle? BTW, I do have a friendly FFL (I used to work there). I just want to help a buddy out and help him with his AR.

ETA: I know how to sell online (the process) I just don't have an experience to know whether it is worth messing with.

Selling online is easy....find a seller, have them send you funds and a copy of FFL, send gun.
