Thinking about adding a Bushmaster 223 to my collection.

Good choice, or not ?

Sounds like a good idea to me.

I'm very happy with my Bushmaster - it's been stone reliable, and is an accurate rifle... IMO, the best quality AR-15s these days for the money are Bushmasters and RRAs - can't go wrong with either one...

Second above, BM are great guns but you should also check out the Rock River, quality is equal and value may be better with the Rock River.

It's a great choice!

I've owned 3, and all have been fantastic rifles. I would recommend without hesitation.

I have 3 Bushmasters and one of them is what I use my SWR SpecWar-2 suppressor on without any problems.

BM is a great rifle. My first was a XM-15 carbine and after literally thousands of rounds, it still runs fine and I still love shooting it.

I also own a RRA and STAG, both are excellent as well.

+1 for Bushmaster

I have always been pleased with their products.  Their barrels and small parts are especially good compared to some other brands.

My Bushmaster has been perfect.

I do not see any price difference between RRA though. I cannot vouch for the quality of them, as I do not own one.

RRA *might* be a better value, but I took into consideration Bushmaster's barrels being made of 4150 steel and having chrome lined bores when I made my choice - and I have to say that I have no regrets...

Thanks, fellows.

I did it!

I now am the happy owner of a Patrolman in the A3 M4 configuration, with the thin, 16" barrel.

So what do you recommend in the way of sights, Eotech?

I also bought a butt load of AE223 to fire out of her.

Try both the EOTech and Aimpoint.  I have tried both and prefer the Aimpoint.
