That's pretty awesome Quib! I bought a '94 in about 1984 or so. Paid all of $125 for it, NIB. A sporting goods store was going out of business. I bought it to pass down to kids I didn't even have at the time. Mainly because my uncle has grandpa's '94, and his brother-in-law, my other uncle, has a rather old '94 too. But I seriously doubt I'll be coming into either one, ever. So I had to start my own tradition. Everybody needs a Winchester 94. |

I bought one ffor $300 from a guy at the range several years ago. The s/n traces it to 1961. It's in great shape, but the front site has been swapped out. Sorry for the crappy pic, but it's all I got http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e281/dpro48/Winchester9430-30WinSN-2515329.jpg edited to mess with pic |
Based on what I can see it's the original sight, It just has the hood (as shown in QUIB's pics) removed. Makes it easier to find the front sight when it's dim. The hood, however, is great for shooting in the bright sunlight. Kent |
Good to know Thanks! |
