With all the talk of Winchester closing it’s doors, I thought I’d post some pics of my Model 94. My Grandfather willed it to me in 1984 when he passed away, serial number search revealed it was made in 1972.

Enjoy.

That's pretty awesome Quib!

I bought a '94 in about 1984 or so. Paid all of $125 for it, NIB. A sporting goods store was going out of business. I bought it to pass down to kids I didn't even have at the time. Mainly because my uncle has grandpa's '94, and his brother-in-law, my other uncle, has a rather old '94 too. But I seriously doubt I'll be coming into either one, ever. So I had to start my own tradition.

Everybody needs a Winchester 94.

Thanks!

My Dad called me yesterday with the latest news about Winchester. I told him he was a day late, already old news. "You haven't sold it have you?" he asks me. "Nope, never will either."

I bought one ffor $300 from a guy at the range several years ago. The s/n traces it to 1961.  It's in great shape, but the front site has been swapped out.
Sorry for the crappy pic, but it's all I got

Based on what I can see it's the original sight,  It just has the hood (as shown in QUIB's pics) removed.  Makes it easier to find the front sight when it's dim.  The hood, however, is great for shooting in the bright sunlight.
