I want to buy a vise for my workbench. It will mainly be used to hold guns and gun parts in-place while I clean or work on them. It will also be used occationaly for light-duty non-gun related stuff. What's a good vise set-up to cover this. Thanks for any suggestions.

If you can swing the cash, (Hold on to your wallet) Brownell's sell about the best gunsmith's vise made:

Finding a GOOD gunsmith's vise is tough, since most are kind of junky.
For small work, some of the better jeweler's vises are good, for heavy work the above Multi-Vise, or a good Wilton model with the tubular slide is best.
