I hope this is the appropriate forum, but forgive me if it isn't. I am curious to know if anyone has attended or heard anything about the Colorado School of Trades gunsmithing training facility. I would really love to be able to repair & build multiple platforms of firearms, but have no technical certification or the experience of operating lathes, mills, and other various machinery. I'm hoping some individuals can give some advice as I'm not too certain on where to begin. I have googled and it's usually some "video courses". Thanks ARFCOMers!

CST is a privately owned commercial diploma mill type operation that turns out some very good gunsmiths on occasion. Yavapai College, Lassen College and the gunsmith school in Trinidad, CO are public funded 2 year accredited schools that turn out some very good gunsmiths as well. The 2 year college programs are better in my opinion. I went to Yavapai after 22 years in the USMC with many service schools as an armorer. I learned a lot at Yavapai. E-mail if any questions.
